Lung and breast cancer make up most CNS metastases. 80% of metastases are multiple and represent 1/3 of all CNS neoplasms. If there were only a sellar region mass, a pituitary macroadenoma or craniopharyngioma would be good thoughts. The presence of multiple other parenchymal lesions however rules these possibilities out. Histiocytosis may involve the sella and have parenchymal lesions, but this is much less likely. Likewise, germinoma may present as a sellar region mass, but they occur in adolescent boys and do not produce parenchymal masses. Related Cases
