T1 coronals pre gad

T1 coronals pre gad

Findings: Isointense soft tissue (a) posterior to Meckel's cave on the right which enhances post-gad and elevates the cisternal portion of the right trigeminal nerve. Region of increased signal (b) within this soft tissue, bright pre-gad, which remained bright on post-gad fat sat sequence may be necrosis or hemorrhage. Another region of bright signal (c) which did become dark on fat-sat, likely fat in the right petrous apex. Meckel's cave on the right lacks the typical central lower signal usually seen (Mec) suggesting it contains soft tissue instead of CSF. Compare left to right. Abnormal soft tissue (d) extends superiorly between the temporal lobe and the cavernous portion of the right internal carotid artery (cav ica). Right mandibular nerve (V3) as it traverses foramen ovale.
