Findings: Isointense mass (a) involving the floor of the mouth which elevates the tongue and has several foci of high signal within, most likely compatible with fat. The epiglottis (epi) is pushed posteriorly and inferiorly and much of the oropharynx is filled by the lesion. Small punctate and linear foci of decreased signal (b) in the posterolateral aspect of the mass. Platysma (pl). Geniohyoid (gen). Anterior belly of the digastric (abd). Mylohyoid (myl). Hyoid bone (hy). Tongue (tong).
